Ford Fiesta 1.4 2000 - Crank end float causes damage to crank sensor # Archived Message

Hi. Had a non start and suspect crank sensor. Once removed noticed damage at tip. Check crank end float and it is excessive. Put new sensor in with a couple of washers to pack out and is running ok although I do know this is not a good fix. Has anyone seen this before and if so was there any block or crank damage or just new thrust washers?
    regards
    Les
