Ford Mondeo 2002 - Air bag warning light flashing #Archived Message

Had a 2002 model year Mondeo in with Air Bag warning light flashing. Carried out normal diagnostic approach & found one code, being impact sensor open circuit.
Sensor is fitted just below the bonnet lock, very easy access only the grille to remove to get to sensor, one bolt securing sensor to vehicle.
Sensor was corroded and swollen at contacts area, wiring terminal connection area was "green" with corrosion and one of the contact pins corroded and broken inside of the terminal block, needed to replace sensor & terminal block. "Ford dont do repair terminal block only front body harness etc etc".
I used a wiring connector from a used VW style brake pad, removed the outer moulding and the terminals lined up and fitted nicely to the sensor.
After clearing code and checking system, I sealed the terminal area using sealant.
