Steve, I too have done many of these without any problem, You should be able to com with 5AS and program plips too with ignition off so if you are getting comms I would guess Bat+ is OK. I would not expect a loss of ignition supply to cause any faults here as I have often programmed these without even switching ignition on. If this is a Rover 200 I would expect this to be MEMS 1.9. You should be able to program plips even with out engine ECU connected. I doubt if this is of any use but thought I would post the info anyway. I would imagine drivers door switch centalised means it is not in the lock or unlock state. Mike
