Found the speed controller under a plastic cover, underneath the n/s headlight. You have to remove the lamp unit to access it. The instructions that came with the new speed controller even showed a picture of were it is located. What a good idea! Earlier vehicles had this component mounted on the n/s chassis leg as mentioned.
