    Hi,
After re-checking this morning, I had missed something! I had checked the power supply by connecting the multimeter, & had 12.2 volts, I then walked round, switched the key on, walked back to the meter, 11.8volts. What I didn't notice is the voltage dipped as the key was switched on, it would momentarily dip to 4 volts!!! & then return to normal, this would trip the fault code 441 & store as permanent until the key is switched off.

So I had voltage dropping on pin 17 when initially switching the key on. But was OK at the fuse end. Due to the previous experience below the rad ( & your suggestions) I stripped the loom back & found no problems, the power loss was further up nearer the fuse box. Finally found it inside the loom just behind the battery. I only found it because of the slight increase in size of the wire, when stripped back it was fully green & corroded, with no sign of damage & only about 4mm long. Repaired the loom, then had to put the old ABS modulator back on, due to the s/hand one being faulty on the pump circuit.

Just for info, when the fault is gone the ABS light will go out after test, & just store a historic code.

    Thanks for your help.

Oh well you get some better jobs sometimes

    Regards
    Steve
