Hi Jas, I don't think so on this one. I have seen the ones that you are talking about but they were the earlier ones. This one has all 21w SCC bulbs (382 Style) and it is also stamped 21 W on the bulbholder. I had heard about these where the Tail lamp takes over as a stop lamp if a bulb fails but I hadn't seen one before, I now understand a little more about how they work.
