Hi CG On an E46 the lamp control module (LSZ) must be coded and assigned if replaced. When carrying out this function the LSZ will be coded to the vehicle according to the ZCS coding string and then embedded with the chassis number and mileage. The LSZ is then permanently assigned to the vehicle and cannot be moved to any other vehicle. For this reason it is only possible to replace the LSZ with a brand new module from BMW. Good luck!
