I had this very fault on a 306 spent ages got nowhere and ended up at dealer found water ingress to loom in the o/s sill where loom runs front to back. they knew about this I am sure but still charged a bag of gold,it must be a common problem something else to check ! ps we found dash has to come out to get to brake light switch unless we missed something ?
