There is a Valeo TSB about these, I have done 2 Laguna's recently where the cooling system was so clagged I had to run two Forte flushes through the system to clean out all the crap before I dared to fit a new matrix, if you do not flush the system properly the new matrix can fail in around 6 months and you will not get warranty on it. The Laguna's are a piece of cake to do if it has not got aircon, remove the glovebox and it fits into the side of the heater box. Get a genuine Renault matrix kit because it comes with all the pipes and gaskets etc and finish the job by putting in a forte cooling system conditioner ,one I did last winter still has green coolant and a roasting heater !
