Hi everyone
I have this bemmer with a rail pressure problem, I think it is either the high pressure pump or pressure reg, but would like to know for sure before changing it. The car runs rough with the idle speed fluctuating and sometimes cuts out. At idle the rail pressure nominal and actual fluctuate wildly between 23 and 76 bar!! rather the the steady 30 they should be, also the the duty cycle of the reg drops as low as 5%, where as it should be around 20%. Supply pressure is good and we have check of excessive injector leak off, new fuel filter fitted. The car appears to run fine all the time the throttle is on hard.
