Fiat Stilo 1.9D JTD 115 2002 - Pre heat Warning Archived Message

    Hi All

    Fiat Stilo 1.9DJTD 115
    2002
    192A1000
    64,000 miles

Does not seem to have a problem starting

This came in this afternoon, once started the glow plug warning lamp comes on for a while and the warning comes up on the display something like "Pre Heat Warning"

Fault code: P0380 Plate heating/Thermostat relay. Cleared code but comes straight back

    ESi list possible cause:
    Defective Fuses
    Open wiring / short circuit
    Contact resistance at terminals
    Glow plugs
    Glow plug relay
    Glow plug indicator lamp

Checked fuses, glow lamp indicator ok, not sure about wiring, more inclined to think its the Glow Relay or Glow Plugs. But due to the location of the glow plugs i am hoping its the relay on the bulkhead

Anyone had this fault and cured with a new Glow Relay or am i destined to replace glow plugs

    Many thanks

    Peter

PS: Anyone changed the Glow Plugs?, they look a bit delicate
