OK here goes- Make sure mileage display is set to odometer, not trip.With ignition off, press and hold trip reset button. Turn ignition on, continue to hold button for at least 5 seconds, then release. Within 5 seconds, press and release button, display should change(it just showed the number '9'). Press and hold button for at least 5 seconds again. Release button and turn off ignition. Light will go ouy next time the engine is started(hopefully). If anybody is interested I have the service re-set for a Nissan Almera Tino with the large screen display filed away somewhere.
