Hi again Dave. The cable you sourced for me was just right and replaced the existing two-piece cable (yes, I was wrong when I thought it was a one-piece!) It was not the easiest speedo cable replacement I've ever done - I thought the whole dash would have to come out but there was just enough room to pull the old cable through in to the car by attaching it securely to the old cable. A good example of how the simplest job can be made more difficult by bad design and even worse dealer service....and the made easier by this superb forum. Many Thanks Dave, Steve
