This is Exactly the sort of thing that I have mentioned in another post, ( Kite Mark scheme ). Dealers fit one part after another until the car is fixed, and Refuse to Remove any Parts that didn't cure it saying that it definitely needed it, And usually the parts cannot be tried back on because they are Exchange and kept by the Dealer so no tests could be carried out on the Accused parts and also they may not run now that the vehicle has been reprogrammed with new parts, Also Due to Some units being one Time Programmable the dealers Can't try parts and reset them, So they have to be Left on the vehicle and charged for, otherwise they would be out of pocket, So in a case like this Even with Dealer tools can an Accurate Diagnosis be carried out to make sure that only the Required parts are being fitted. ? This is where we get put in a difficult position by our Customers as they expect us to do a right first time diagnosis and Don't want us to replace anything that is not needed, even when using Non Dealer level diagnostic equipment. ?
