Just done a head gasket Cam cover has lower aluminium part and upper plastic. Lower gasket was missing and poorly sealed with silicone.
Gasket in set has a ridge on upper surface to locate in groove in cover.
Cover has no groove, gasket does not locate properly or seal.
Genuine is a set(upper gasket available separately).Set is no longer available.
We have ordered many pattern gaskets, all are incorrect.
Anyone familiar with this know the proper way to do it?
Not keen on bodging it with silicone.

Fairly complex job is being held up by simple problem, very frustrating!
