Year of Manufacture *: 2007
( Optional ) Engine Code or CC: 1.6 hdi 9hx
Not unusual on these, Teves CAN ABS.
All supplies earths and CAN in and out scope correctly.
Engine starts so immo signal on CAN is getting through ABS ok.
No rear body unit and BSM is new fitted by a main dealer due to water ingress, (again not unusual.)
All plugs clean at BSM. Didnt clock at first but centre plug looks pristine?
Now I have seen firsthand, rot in the bsm stop coms with the ABS, but Im buggered if I can see why or how as non of the ABS wiring comes from the BSM. and the BSM itself is not on CAN but VAN.
The vehicle does not have ESP but it does have an ABS relay which is working correctly.
A known good ABS ecu has been plugged it with the same no coms result.
Now the kicker. The new looking brown plug on the bsm has actually been added spliced in about 8ins down the harness and not one wire is a colour match with the original harness!
So before spending hours checking the fitters work (very neat as it was) I would love to know how the BSM can block coms to the ABS?
Has anyone looked into this?
