The problem for me is that modern workshop airline is a rubber/nylon alloy or composite. This does not lay flat when you drop it to the floor, so making it easy to trip over or scrape along the side of a car. Different airline hoses from different suppliers, even the ones listed as rubber were still this alloy type when they turned up.
Up until maybe 10 years ago you could get 'proper' rubber airline which would lay flat, but then it seemed it was superceeded by this more modern rubbish - probably a health and safety and/or cost issue.
Until now!!
Laser have brought out a new, flexible (yellow) air hose, that, while not quite as good as the old stuff, is 90% there!
It is 9.5mm ID by 15m long and the part no is 6418. It cost me £25 plus VAT.
let me know what you think!
Colin.
