These engines are pretty common for chains going. They will normally break some rockers but the valves will usually be OK.

As Chris said first thing would be to check if the injectors come out, but it will almost certainly need 4 injectors. It is worth pricing new injectors as part of the job to start with and then if you are lucky enough to save any of them it is a bonus.

If you are going down the reconditioned engine route, check whether they need the injectors removed from the old unit. I have heard of some places that wont give you the full old unit surcharge back if the injectors are still fitted.
