That's a good post there Matt. We had something similar with an Alfa 159 which was smoking on acceleration. Checked for boost leaks, EGR function etc, everything fine and no fault codes. Luckily we actually offer remapping and have access to the equipment needed to read the software off the vehicle. I sent the file to my guy who does the tuning and he said it was a really poor remap with the injection duration screwed away up. Original file was loaded and the car was fine.

There is a lot of dodgey Remaps floating around and they are going to make life difficult for us.

I think this highlights the need for passthru tools allowing us to load the most recent manufacturers calibration. Software seems to be a new place for faults to hide.
