Hi Just wondered if any one can help with this problem. Had a jeep Cherokee in with a battery drain, had to jump start after leaving a couple of days. Tested and traced fault to the central locking system, eventually found that it was the body control unit faulty. Replaced with a new unit and was told by Jeep when ordering that it was just plug and play. Fitted new unit and found no more drain in system but since fitting there is a bleeping noise with engine running and all doors closed. The fuel gauge is also slow in going up and when at 3/4 full ( which is correct)it then drops back to 1/4 and goes back up slowly again. light still flashes to say low fuel. The bleep seems to link in with the fuel light flashing sequence. I have rang Jeep and they say it doesn't need programing and must have another fault. I can not refit the old control unit due to being returned for a £400.00 surcharge.
