No dry joints etc
Basically none of the controls on the headlamp switch module seem to have any effect.
(IE no headlamp height adjustment, dash and radio lights dim and unresponsive, dip beam on all the time (Default position?) but full beam will not hold. front and rear fog lights don't work. None of the little tell-tale lights come on when switches pressed.)
However!
Checking with scope does show that data is being sent! (But not who by of course if it is a bi-directional data line?) so it is not absolutely clear that the switch unit is faulty and it looks like substitution might be the only way of testing it further (Unless anybody has a better idea?)
What is more, the cruise control no longer works. Might this bee a consequence of the light controller being faulty, or might this actually indicate that the fault is elsewhere!
Any ideas??
Paul
(Oh, and PS, I don't seem to be able to edit the title! short of deleting it and writing it out again hence the missing W in Window! I have left this stand because it is clearly some sort of bug. though whether it is at my end or UKAT's I don't know )
