Could these sales figures be exaggerated due to an abundance of misdiagnosed faults?
As an example (one that most can relate to) how many oxygen sensors are replaced, needlessly, just because the DTC refers to it directly, within the fault description?
I feel sure that if you rang any dealership, (or motor factors) that they will quote an extremely healthy sales figures for many components.
It doesn't necessarily follow that those sales figures represent the likelihood that your component is at fault.
Just thought it worth a mention
