On the BMW's that I have done with Autologic, after entering the wheel size & suspension details the measurement is taken from the wheel rim at its lowest point vertically to the wheel arch.
The measurement varies with model & wheel size (approx 680mm / 725mm)
I guess your tool may do it differently.
