My local dealer (Eden) used to very laid back & would accept ID on the strength of a phone call until about a month ago.

I was told GM had tightened up (due to some impropiorties) and would now only accept car pass applications with physical sight of ID & V5.

Even the dealer had to send the job sheet in although they have the vehicles in their workshop.

I then tried the SP route as a faster option, only to be told the service had been withdrawn.
I meant to post that info at the time but believe Jack Daniels confused me later on....
