We have repaired lots in the past by soldering the tags back onto the printed circuit on the glass using a standard ( large ) soldering iron as long as there are still some small blobs of solder stuck to the pad. You can usually build up the solder to get a better surface to stick to and then tin the tag before soldering it back on. we sometimes strengthen the repair with glue after it has been soldered back on. We also warm the glass with rags soaked in hot water before using the soldering iron.

very scary job when you are doing it but We have never yet broken a screen but have always warned the customer that its their problem if it breaks.

I haven't done any for a few years and can't really say that I want to but it is an option.

I haven't found any electrically conductive glue to do a repair with but I would be interested if anyone uses one that works properly.
