Don't forget also to undo the steering UJ as this helps drop down the subframe easier and undo the multi-plugs from the ecu on bulkhead else you'll strain them.
I used two high axle stands (ramp height ones) to support subframe as i removed all the bolts holding it up (e torx if i remember correctly).
The starter bolts on the cars i done used alen key bolts and were very tight, 1 of which was difficult to access so i used a wobble type alen key with a socket of the correct size as an extension for more leverage.
Also watch out for the a/c pipes on comprressor.
Check the drive belt why you have the subrame down.
