I purchased the Petrol Terraclean Machine about 10 months ago. I'm a sucker for something new and different and didn't really think about it that much !
We've only done about 7 services, to be fair we get a few email enquiries via the terraclean website and a few phone calls. Most people have asked for Diesel... but couldn't justify buying both machines at once.
My problem is that I'm not a salesman, so I could never stand at reception and 'pressure' someone into this, which is what your meant to do. It is a lot of money and I think it would be hard to get someone to shell out another £95 when they are already spending that amount on say an interim service. People who have already researched the product and ask for it think that £95 is reasonable though.
Another problem is that when your busy, it's almost a hassle carrying out the service. Trying to work out how to connect to the fuel and isolate the fuel pump etc. But like anything, the more you use it the easier it would be.
As for how good it is, everyone we have done has had good results. One of our techs did his Astra, cured a flat spot, much crisper and more MPG. I remember doing a Jag V6 and Focus ST both had well over 100k on the clock and they were both very happy with the outcome. As for how long does it last, I'm not sure. But they say you can feel the benefit on a car that has 10k on it.
Something that annoyed me at the time of purchase was the pressure to get my to buy the diesel machine, when I persistently said no they then tried to get me to buy massive quantities of the product. This pressure made me loose faith in them, the guy that came out to demo said he isn't a salesman just an engineer.... He's definitely a salesman!!
If your still interested, our machine is up for sale as I want to invest in other bits of kit!
