These parasitic drains are becoming more and more common on later vehicles.
250mA is far to high as Andrew says. 30 to 50mA is more acceptable.
As for finding the fault, you do need the correct wiring diagrams and component locations.
Start with your meter attached and start pulling fuses. Making sure that any open doors, boot or bonnet catches are shut and key is off and the vehicle allowed to sleep. When the current drops you are on the right track. Then its time to consult your wiring diagram to see what's on that circuit .
