A new module installed, 01218 is still present (but is now 002 lower limit exceeded), and, we now have 00654 - 002 for RHF seat belt.
Do these bags have reducing electrical resistance as they age?
I assume that "lower limit exceeded" means the resistance of that circuit as measured by the control module is below the lower limit.
When checking supplies and earths for the module, initially, there was no (single wire)earthing for the module. I installed a new grounding and later had a code for the passenger bag cut-off switch. It had no earth. Another earthing wire installed!
I am not enoying the thought of a possible wiring 'meltdown' behind the 'dash', so, has anyone experienced such on a Beetle, or I assume a Golf, with the same wiring loom 'layout'/construction?
