I've had several of this type of motor now where the input circuitry of the built in controller goes faulty (to ground, IIRC) due to water ingress at the plug. They use an analogue input system, can't remember the values now but I seem to remember that there are two inputs, up and down but two active voltages on each i.e up and auto-up, down and auto-down. This fault often causes the window to go down uncontrollably. Hope this is of some help. Shaun
