It is a manual but interestingly there is an oil cooler which sits in the block water jacket behind the oil filter housing, this reminds me of the Vauxhall Omega v6 engines which had a cooler under the inlet manifold, we have removed the cooler and pressure tested it and it is OK but the seals around the cooler were in poor condition.
We are replacing the seals and all the hoses on the engine and if OK after a couple of weeks hopefully I can post the vehicle as FIXED.
