The system does not require dampers as conventional coil-spring suspension does. The pressurised fluid is ported to the suspension spheres through a restriction which must also help to remove any tendency to oscillate.
We used to replace the accumulator spheres as well as the suspension unit spheres as they all affect ride quality - they can all fail together.
