What Mark is pointing to is a possible resistance problem on either wire, allthough a resistance 'check' is not a good test as such. The fact that you have the same voltage on each sensor does not mean that the wiring is good.Load each wire with a sidelighr/indicator bulb, supply 12v and check wiring voltage at the lit bulb connection-then you can be assured that the wire is good.
I would be swapping the front sensor wires at the ecu next, if the fault stays on the same side then you have an ecu problem (which I suspect).
