SRS mil on. Fault code read from SRS module.
01317 intermittent no communication with Instrument Cluster (J285). No code in the cluster and no other CAN codes anywhere else. Customer reports on other symptoms, cluster works perfect and never drops out.
Cleared code and it comes back a few days later. Checked wiring and connections at both cluster and SRS.

I have changed and repaired a few of these clusters, but not for this particular fault. I think it is going to be a module fault but it could be either the SRS or the cluster.

Anyone been here before?
