Hi all. with all my years of experience I should not be asking this question. I had a few with this engine, also on the 1.9 vectra. The aux belt breaking up and finding its way under the timing belt. Not a problem to repair but have noticed with the 3 I have done (once on a vectra) that the aux drive belt adjuster, the pulley has grooves to guide the belt but the routing of the belt has the back of the belt running on this pulley where as the top pulley is smooth but the grooves of the belt runs over the top of this smooth pulley. to make matters worse auto data has a different route for the vectra compared to the saab although exactly the same engine. Does any one know for sure the routing and what pulley goes where. On this one I have changed the pulley's over which makes more sense to my mechanical brain. Hope this all makes sense. By the way it has air con Cheers Les
