This one has come to us from a gearbox repair specialist, asking us to check the electrical side of the gearbox. The car will start and drive fine, however as it warms up, it looses drive, and all you get is a gentle 'lurch' when you put it into D or R, and once this has occurred, the car wont move at all. We have checked all the feeds to the gearbox plug underneath,and also recorded the can bus data, and although the can bus pattern deteriorates as the car warms up, it is still essentially in tact. The gearbox specialist has had the gearbox apart and together 3 times, and is convinced the box is OK, however having messed around with it for quite some time, I now get a transmission code 17134 / P0750 - Shift solenoid A-N88: Malfunction.

I tried to access the transmission ECU with VAGCOM, but it wouldn't stay in, so I only have data from the Launch diagnostic tool, and in Group 15 I seem to have pressure differences when the car is cold and drives, to when it has done its thing and wont drive anymore!!

What I am asking is;
1. Anyone got any ideas on this one, as CVT's are not my forte!!
2. In group 15, what are the four lines of data readings telling me, to which components do they relate, for instance

Current 0.19
Current 0.91
Pressure 1.60 bar
Pressure 3.20 bar

Any help would me much appreciated, as my own feeling is that this is a hydraulic problem in the box, possibly a weak solenoid.

Any ideas guys???
