Year of Manufacture *: 2007
This is a 2007 rav 4, customer complains of knock when turning steering at slow speed e.g. when parking.
I spent a bit of time trying to pin this down as difficult to reproduce in workshop at a bit random on road test, but as said will on happen when turning steering sharply at slow speeds. anyway finally came to conclusion that this was in the steering column intermediate shaft area, checked U/j tight etc. This has elec p/s at top of column so shaft is operating under considerable torque.
The reason for my post is that a google search has indicated that this is a known fault and that there is a TSB concerning the issue, would any one have access to a copy of this of reliable information on the issue ?
cheers Aidan
