The Mondeo driver log's the Mileage and gets anywhere from 4,000 miles to 12,000 miles out of a bulb, but hes still forever at the garage for a bulb swap. He has always had the problem since he bought the car and has even tried Fords own bulbs with the same results.
I am Presently using Jahn bulbs from Cargo which are as good or better than osram for reliability and have also just started using some Cargo "long Life" H7 Bulbs, which So far we have had non come back blown in the past couple of months that we have been using them.
I put the problem down to poor bulb design and the extra voltage that a modern vehicle produces compared to older cars. ( Approx 1v more than previous )
The Manufacturers were once selling resistors to put in line with the bulbs to lower the voltage, but ive never seen or used any.
