I seem to struggle sometimes with starting modern diesels after a fuel filter change.
If they dont start quickly i usually connect an in line Lp pump to draw the fuel up through the filter until it stops bubbling. Even then they sometimes fail to start straight away.
I know it did'nt used to be this difficult .I sometimes end up with a flat battery and then all the associated problems that go with it!
Please tell me i'm not the only one!
Sometimes it can add 1/2 hr (or more)to what i estimate the service time.Fords seem particularly troublesome.
What do you say?
Cheers
Colin.
