Had same problem with lots of vw ,skoda and audi doors.Sometimes you get lucky by pressing key fob open and close as you pull lever inside.Lockingt mechanism is faulty and this sometimes releases it.If it does work change lock anyway as it will happen again.Best of luck as they are not easy to open otherwise.
