After fixing the leak I plugged in using Op-Com and get a slightly vague description about driver's door motor. New lock/catch was fitted and it's just the same. Started to probe deeper and find that the indicators are acting weirdly - not always in sync with the warning lamp and very fast. Had a look a various things in BCM menu and it just kept losing the plot.
So, fitted new BCM - in stock at dealer 'we sell loads' - and indicators now work properly as do panel lights which were acting strangely. Central locking still won't work either with key or via remote. Two issues keep cropping up: There is an option for 'driver's door first' or 'all together' in the BCM coding screen. This keeps resetting itself to 'invalid'. If I try to program the remote keyfob I get to the point where it says 'push a keyfob button' and it just locks up. The CAN bus seems to freeze and I lose all comms. Sometimes the only way to get back in is to disconnect the battery and start again.
If it's any help, I did plug in my DEC a few days ago and it came up with an error along the lines of Central Door Lock Excess Current - but it cleared ok.
If you go into the actuator menu (before it locks up) you can trigger the door locks and if you look at live data it is seeing the lock/unlock signal from the door.
