Hi Stuart. I would think your not Barking up the wrong tree, Just the wrong Scanner. ???? ( I may be totally wrong though as it is just my opinion and for some weird reason I seem to have fallen out with most aftermarket scanners, so either i have got it wrong or they are just a liability when your using them 10 times a day and need proper results. ??)

When the going gets tough, you need a "DECENT" scanner.

+ IDS will do a full vehicle can rather than individual systems to give you the Full picture.

Get it on an IDS and compare the results and then make up your own mind.
