Hi chaps,

we have a 2002 T4 2.5TDI Auto, California Camper on the books with a sporadic shaking, (owner refers to it as a misfire) at around 2000RPM.

We carried out a full systems scan initially & the only DTC logged is in Transmission Electronics.

DTC; 1192 Torque Converter Lock Up Clutch Mechanical Fault (sporadic)
Transmission code - EQG Engine Code - AUF

Does anyone have any experience of this code on one of these, I have been told it's the same box as a MK4 Golf - but haven't confirmed that yet.

Incidentally, the gearbox had failed previously & was repaired by the dealer at 30000 M, it has now done 55,000M.


We have been unable to replicate the fault so far.
