When I finally bit the bullet and ordered the cluster from dealer, they tell me an exchange unit is available for about £110. Wish I knew that a month ago. They took some part numbers from the old cluster and phoned Vauxhall for the correct replacement.
Got the mileage coded in by dealer for another £41 and it's gone at last.
