The system you have will be an external immo module. The immo module reads the transponder chip via the coil on the ign barrel. The pin code is stored in the immo module. VW cannot supply you with the pin as the programming is done online. They used to be able to but not for a long time now. Some of these had the pin on a label on the immo box so that’s worth a look. There are many people who can read the pin from the module. Failing that, possibly the cheapest way would be to buy a used module with matching key and ign barrel. Once the key and module match then your VCDS will be able to introduce the immo and engine modules to each other.
