We had this car in with noisey tappets. Tried a flush but no good. Removed sump and found pickup blocked. Cleaned it out and refitted. Still the same, suspect oil pump fault, relief valve, its got a large oil pump assembly which ive not seen on a vw before, 2 gears and 2 main shafts, cost £700 has any one replaced one of these and is it a difficult job.
