Just checked the autoscan results and no there is not a 17911 logged anywhere. The vehicle does however have the possibility of a slightly unstable voltage regulator on the alternator, there is a customer complaint of flickering headlights. The other possibility here is that the power steering pump can be felt to keep "kicking" when it is running and I wonder if the controller cannot decide what speed to run the pump at, the resultant current pulses would probably make the lights flicker...
The alternator warning light is behaving correctly as far as I remember, although I did not specifically check it.
There was some water in the multiplug but no corrosion in either plug or socket. My belief is that the water corrodes the controller internally.
