You probably have a faulty card. Ask if there is a spare to try. If not Then try putting the card half way in and try bending the card to one side and then the other { or up/down on Megan } while watching the dash if it changes from insert card to press brake or clutch it will then start and you will have proved the card is faulty.It may take a lot of attempts. There are no switches in the card reader unlike the Laguna so hardly any thing to go wrong. unlikely to be the reader very likely to be the card. Renault can test the cards off the car and i think some key cloning machines can see the card code if its OK also.
