Is there a procedure which you need to follow before working on toyota prius braking system's?
we serviced the above vehicle and carried out a geometry check. We plugged in carman scan lite to verify the straight ahead position of the steering wheel using live data then left the tool menu turned the carmanscan off and disconnected the scan tool. shortly after when the car was started up the vsc/abs lamp came on and stayed on.
when scanned with the carmanscan lite the code C1345 linear valve offset not learned was displayed,we found the reset option on the carmanscan, did a reset, only for this problem to return straight away.
We took the car to toyota who replaced the whole abs pump/ecu with no explanation as to what/why the unit is at fault cost 4k ,
is this a common problem or have we made a mistake
Any help or explanation from any toyota tech's would be appreciated
Regards
Steve
