The article I read makes reference to a similar situation with JT Barrett (27 cuts/signings) back in 2018 & 2019. I wonder how that works in terms of contract(s) and getting paid? I'm also guessing after each time he is waived that they have some sort of verbal agreement that he will be re-signed soon and not to fly home. Basically, it sounds like they are using it as a loophole to keep an extra player (Hunter) on the practice squad.
